Construction progresses on the adaptive reuse of Hof van Egmont in Mechelen
The adaptive reuse of Hof van Egmont, a protected neoclassical ensemble on Kardinaal Mercier Square in Mechelen, is progressing steadily.
Through a careful reading of the existing building and a well-considered new programme, we are securing its future with maximum respect for the historic fabric. The neoclassical front façade remains a recognisable anchor within the square, the internal structure is preserved wherever possible, and new additions are introduced with care and restraint.
With great precision, the project is now entering its final phases — stay tuned!
