a2o breaks ground for the inner-city project of ‘Ursulinenhof’. Prior to the demolition of the former VTI-school site, valuable construction materials were sorted out and catalogued. This approach will facilitate the reuse of materials in the new project. The flow of materials will be continued, not only as an ecologically responsive gesture, but also in respect to the site’s history of which so many citizens have memories.
Ursulinenhof will take shape in the coming two years and provide the city with a new residential and health care center with public facilities on street level. The project will complement the historical Ursulinen monastery and leave space for a public square in its core. Given its central location, adjacent the historical city hall, the project management will be looked after with the greatest attention.
